In einem der Tanzräume, wird es stetig fokussierte CI Jams (ohne Musik) geben, während parallel auch CI-ergänzende oder von Musiker*innen begleitete Formate stattfinden werden.

Das Event ist familienfreundlich ausgerichtet, dh. tagsüber wird es auch Events und Jams geben, zu denen Kids ausdrücklich willkommen sind und mit all ihren Fähigkeiten beachtet und respektiert werden.

Die Räumlichkeiten sind barrierefrei erreichbar, alle Körper und Alter sind herzlich eingeladen!

Außerdem verstehen wir uns als queer*friendly Space, d.h. Menschen aller Geschlechtsidentitäten und sexuellen Orientierungen sollen sich Vorort sicher genug fühlen können, um an diesem Event teilzunehmen. Ein Consent-Team wird Vorort ansprechbar sein. Konsens ist uns ein wichtiges Anliegen, lest dazu gern die Guidelines auf unserer Homepage.

Wer vor dem Jam Wochenende Lust auf angeleiteten Input zur Contact Improvisation hat, ist herzlich eingeladen am Pre-Workshop mit Barbara Berti teilzunehmen.

Unterstützen wird uns Vorort außerdem ein Team von erfahrenen CI-Lehrenden, welche durch ihre Präsenz und kleine Warm Ups das Jam Wochenende bereichern werden.

Es gibt neben den 2 hellen Tanzräumen auch einen Chill-Space, eine gemütliche Tee Küche und hinter der Schule beginnt direkt der Auwald, der sich für Spaziergänge anbietet.

In nächster Nähe sind Rewe, ein italienisches Restaurant und ein Schnellimbiss zu finden.
Übernachtung und Verpflegung werden nicht von uns gestellt und müssen von den Teilnehmenden selbst organisiert werden.

Pre-Workshop w/ Barbara Berti: 60-90 Euro

In one of the dance rooms, there will be constantly focused CI jams (without music), while formats that complement CI or are accompanied by musicians will also take place at the same time.

The event is family-friendly, ie. During the day there will also be events and jams to which kids are welcome and all their abilities will be taken into account and respected.

The rooms are barrier-free and all bodies and ages are welcome!

We also see ourselves as a queer*friendly space, meaning people of all gender identities and sexual orientations should feel safe enough to take part in this event.

A consent team will be available on site. Consent is important to us. Please read the guidelines on our homepage.

Anyone who would like guided input on contact improvisation before the jam weekend is warmly invited to take part in the pre-workshop with Barbara Berti.

We will also be supported on site by a team of experienced CI teachers who will enrich the jam weekend with their presence and small warm-ups.

In addition to the 2 bright dance rooms, there is also a chill space, a cozy tea kitchen and the forest begins right behind the school, which is ideal for walks. Rewe, an Italian restaurant and a fast food joint can be found in the immediate vicinity. Accommodation and meals are not provided by us and must be organized by the participants themselves.

Traveling through matter

This workshop invites you to immerse yourself in understanding the language of Contact Improvisation through two main elements: your subtle sensing body and the energy of your physical body as mass.
We will explore the transformative nature of your body through the axis, bones, and spirals, and then focus on the sensitive body, a method Berti uses in CI to sense the subtle movement of your sensing and intention and move and generate a partner dance from there.

We will explore solo, partner, and group work and on the second day also about space, within the frame by using the transformative nature of your sensing in jams

The workshop will help to balance and dance from your feeling united to your physical body, generating a sense of wholeness, and a healthy use of bone alignment that allows dynamism and strength with safety.
We will meet and notice the creation of our decision-making in partnering, lifting, and direction through a combination of axes and spirals.

Berti also applies the sensing body that works on the balancing of the nervous system, in performativity through his dance productions, in contemporary classes, and therapies with humans and dogs.
The class starts and navigates between soft exercises very internal, and other very physical and dynamic practices. Bring your water and your open heart, we are gonna dance an grow!
